An Invitation

Bill and Delight Petersen are trusted friends and counselors . We feel part of Worship at the River will expand to include afternoon teachings, impartations, followed by fellowship as we eat together (bring your meal). Our first afternoon is Sunday, June 8th. Please read Bill's message for June's afternoon gathering:

Recently while I was in Central Oregon, I visited the church where I accepted the Lord. Since it was a weekday, I just sat in the sanctuary and wrote in my journal. I was reminded of being baptized there some 50 years ago. Through the wonderful people in that church I came into an understanding of my need for salvation and was converted, baptized, and discipled. The Holy Spirit reminded me of many wonderful experiences as my faith grew in that setting.

I reflected on the fact that my initial baptism was “John’s baptism”. I also thought about the fact that 20 years after my conversion I had come into new understandings and experiences in the Lord. You might say that I was an “Ephesian Christian” (Acts 19:1-6) because the theology that I was converted into did not include the gifts of Holy Spirit and other teachings that I now embrace. As I sat there I felt like the Lord was saying that I should be baptized again.

Growing up as a child in that church I understood as a child. I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I had to put away childish things. Through my teen years and later in life I grew to understand that not all that I had been taught as a child was accurate or complete. I need to put to death old teaching and be released into newer life.

Jesus recognized His need for water baptism too. He insisted that John baptize him and when he came out of the water his Father poured out Holy Spirit on Him.

Into what were you baptized? If you have never been baptized or the Spirit is prompting you to be baptized with new understanding, we invite you to come to our orientation.

Welcome to the people of Siletz, Oregon, also Jim and Faith.

Blessing of food to those from Siletz.

Jim Chosa was given permission to speak blessings over this land, by an elderly Yakima woman and Chief, of Siletz. The indigenous people retain spiritual authority; the protocol of permission is commanded to follow and manifest the kingdom of heaven over this land. Jim, in conjunction with Darrell, then asked each of us permission to speak through the Holy Spirit. We gave permission and prepared our hearts.

We are functional citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven; we are hungry and thirsty for truth. There needs to be a shift, a significant change from theoretical Christianity to actual Christian walk, reality. There is a mazelike, complex network from Satan, with the purpose of corrupting what God has made and keep the physical body enslaved and fighting the Holy Spirit. We need to learn true spiritual warfare. The ego nature has an instinctive resistance to God.

Those who are hungry and desperate for the Kingdom of God must advance in our lives in Christ, before we can advance the Kingdom of God. This is the single purpose of our lives.

The challenging issue is one that began to grow with Adam and Eve and has not really been dealt with; it is a matter of ownership – who owns me? – is it working? – if it isn’t working in Christ, it’s still theory. We are living too much in the theory of ownership.

The phrase “your God” is in Scripture 182 times; in Romans 8:17, we are heirs of God and joint heirs through Christ. The Lord God says, “They will be my people and I will be their God.” When our hearts first opened to God, we never fully understood reconciliation and were never fully restored. Transformation is about each person being transformed, then each community. If we are truly transformed, we want the glory of God to be manifest. We are the winners in the equation; God says we are His people and we can corporately and individually receive Him - our God.

God is raising up men and women who will confront “religion” that is attached to the philosophies of men.

“In Jesus Name, I break the hold on me that held me captive.”

Remember, with great intent and purpose, your Creator. The power of creation: God can take the problem and transform it to be the answer. Creator God owns me and I own Creator God (we are in relationship together). My problems are not my own, but God’s. The language of false religion has taken us to false ownership. Worship is the key whereby God (and us) declare ownership and we release our problems to Him.

If God owns me and I am not under the curse, the curse of “dis – ease” cannot get me through misunderstood ownership. God comes in the worshipper and changes the condition of the worshipper. We enter into a covenant of ownership; I belong to you and you belong to me – I worship you.

We have an inheritance; it’s you.

You have an inheritance; it’s us.

There is a musical phrase; the Holy Spirit is at work in our hearts. There is healing and anointing in Jim’s hands. In the great power of God, we can lay hands on the sick. We need not pray at that moment, merely lay our hands on and trust in the power of the Almighty God. Jim finished with this profound truth and challenge to us, that we practice merely laying our hands on those who are sick and entrusting their lives to the power of God.

“The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.”

1 John 3:7 New American Standard

May 2008 Update

Dear Friends,

For nearly five years, many of us have gathered each second Sunday of
every month at Troutdale's Glenn Otto Park near the Sandy River. We've
met to worship, listen, affirm, encourage, and experiment. We have endeavored
to follow I Corinthians 14 and Ephesians 5:

"When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of
instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these
must be done for the strengthening of the church."

"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and
make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the
Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

These are really quite simple admonitions, but admittedly, most of us
have no experience, reference, or model in how this really works. We
have much more experience as spectators. We'd
much rather someone lead us than follow the prompting of the Holy
Spirit to sing some kind of solo (how frightening!).

So how DO you "speak to one another with a song?" As Mary learned
to sit at the feet of Jesus, so we are learning at the River to do the same.
Carlene and I marvel at the corporate creativity, fragrance, and beauty in
the songs released in "earthly vessels" for the strengthening of the church.

So, we invite you to celebrate...in the spirit of constant thanksgiving for
everything, to honor Jesus this Sunday at 6pm.

We bless the original song in your spirit,

Darrell and Carlene

Friday, April 11, 2008

Dear Friends,

It's Friday, April 11, 3:30 am...and yes, my internal time-clock is
unsure of what time zone or even what city I'm in. After 18 days and
7 cities, I'm finally in my own home! Thank you for your prayer
support during a grueling but rewarding trip.

I had several encounters with leaders of the "unknown
Church"....believers who are not "underground", but rather, who are
fully functioning and active Kingdom workers in various countries
whose governments regularly persecute and imprison Christians.
Understandably, I cannot share any specific names and places, but I
was humbled, encouraged, and blessed by their stories of faith and
perseverance under great pressure. These meetings had great personal
impact, and I believe are divine appointments which will have meaning
for years to come.

We are excited to welcome Jim and Faith Chosa
(http://www.daychief.org) this Sunday, April 13, 6pm at our monthly
Worship at the River gatherings. Carlene and I joined this couple
last year on an intercessory prayer assignment throughout the Olympic
Peninsula. We'll also welcome other long time friends from Oregon
First Nation churches to this Sunday's Worship at the River.

You can find directions and Newsletter summaries of our Worship at the
River gatherings, review travel itineraries, listen to podcasts, and
view pictures and even video at Pacificministries.

Blessings!

Worship at the River Watchmen at the River

Newsletter of Pacific Ministries’ monthly meetings March, 2008

at Glenn Otto Community Park, Troutdale, Oregon.

Our God receives our prayer and prophetic proclamation; we are, in Him:

~ strong in the spiritual battle with spiritual generals,

~ sending the spiritual to the nations,

~ bringing nations to prayer,

~ changing the nations!

From humble surroundings in Troutdale, and a humble heart before the God of the Universe,

To the ex-mayor of Seoul, Korea, one who is respected and highly influential,

A voice of righteousness, sharing the love, truth and grace of our God,

A man of God, Darrell, is a man of obedience to the call of God;

we are a people of God and are also obedient to His call,

of deep, profound and powerful prayer.

We follow the Lord and watch expectantly,

for what He is doing among men and women, and children too!

Testimony of Healing

Delight (a beautiful name ever reminding us of our delight in Christ!)

- problem - a car accident that left severe neck problems; even with two pillows sleep has

been difficult and arm movement was impared.

- healing - There was specific prayer for Delight last month; God healed Delight’s neck

so completely that sleeping with pillows was not necessary and arm movement is greatly improved!

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Stretching forth our hearts, hands, arms, voices and banners, in affirmations of faith ~

We want to be a thankful people, Lord. We worship you.

Sing to the Lord a new song; declare His glory.

Let us shout and glorify His Name.

Great is the Lord; you are worthy of all praise.

The Almighty declares, “I’m reigning above all nations.”

Prophetic word:

1. We’re moving into kingdom authority through gratitude.

2. There will be the healing of minds and bodies.

3. There will be greater laughter, unity and freedom to lift His Name high.

4. There will be joy, in the spiritual awakening of our nation.

5. Generations will be blessed ~ children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

6. One generation will declare to another that the Lord has done great things.

7. We are brothers and sisters in Christ; we are robed in righteousness and

perfecting grace of Christ, as His bride.

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come!”

The banner over all of this is His love, cleansing love.

We are soaking in the Presence.

We receive from the Holy Spirit ~ the ministry of the Spirit,

through the wind of the banner, (which is love!)

The voice of His song ~ the instruments of His grace.

Prophetic word:

1. Take the tests and trials and turn them into joy.

2. All things will be made new.

3. There will be a softening, a whispering of His comfort.

“Come to me, all you who are weary.

Come to me, all you who are burdened.

I will give you rest; you are not mistakes.

You are not orphans anymore; sons and daughters you are.

There is a rest for sons and daughters; you do not have to strive anymore.

Understanding who we are in Christ ~ free sons and daughters,

we can leave the backpacks we carry, those that are filled with the unnecessary.

Jesus, lover of my soul, I will follow You.

The Lord wants to remove the lies and give us new names.

He wants to honor Himself in us and through us.

~ A sign for surrender ~ Our hands at the shoulders, with fingers bent,

move upward and opening, ~ to let everything fall into His hands.

We want to let go and rest in your loving arms.

In your light, we see light; in your arms, we find rest.

We will rest in your arms and be at rest.

Soaking ~ find a quiet place to be alone with the Lord ~ ask Him to be with you.

Listen to the things He shares; take time to soak in His Presence.

“ ‘See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to His temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,’ says the Lord Almighty. But who can endure the day of His coming? Who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: He will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.”

Malachi 3:1-4

A banner of iridescence ~ a fire, refining silver and gold.

in the refining process, we will bring offerings of righteousness.

“ ‘But you who revere my Name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall. Then you will trample down the wicked they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things.’ says the Lord Almighty.” Malachi 4:2,3

Releasing our hold on the name we have carried,

we receive the new name God pours over us, rejoicing in the joy of His blessing.

The Lord is blowing the Shofar over us ~

For the Spirit of Intercession.

Pressing into Scripture, releasing healing – (facing separation anxiety)

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,

neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth,

nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us

from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38,39

Leading by example ~

Lay down the script, the plans prepared,

Trust the Lord for His Word for His people.

Trust Him for prophetic preaching.

Pray for each other as opportunities arise for ministry.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,

because the Lord has appointed me to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives,

and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion,

to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning.

and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.

They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;

they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”

Isaiah 61:1-4

Prophetic words over Darrell and Carlene:

1. You have divinely inspired influences; in the Spirit you are dancing on iniquity

2. You are magnets of strength together; a new door in a harvest basket of righteousness.

3. Jacob sent gifts ahead to Esau; Christ’s body in South Korea is Jacob and North Korea is Esau; Darrell and Carlene are a part of the Lord’s gift in the harvest basket.

“Jacob looked up and there was Esau, coming with his four hundred men; so he divided the children among Leah, Rachel, and the two maidservants. He put the maidservants and their children in front, Leah and her children next and Rachel and Joseph in the rear. He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother. But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept.” Genesis 33:1-4

Friends...

Sometimes a song can express more in a few minutes than hours of teaching/preaching. Last month, I was sharing with a Korean congregation, and I felt impressed to "sing the message." I picked up the worship leader's guitar, and sang a new song...right out of scripture. (Psalms 133) The song was spontaneous and interpreted in Korean.
(click on the link to hear it)
I am leaving tomorrow for Korea and Carlene is remaining here to care for family. Thank you for praying for us, and I will continue to update my journey through an audio podcast.

Dear Friends on the Journey...

Most of us would agree the "journey" is more important than the "destination". In our pilgrimage, Carlene and I have discovered treasures in the informal personal relationships of fellow pilgrims "on the way." Some of our paths have crossed briefly, others have had the luxury of more than a few hours. We celebrate the way the Holy Spirit is "knitting" our paths together....much like a beautiful pattern, a kind of divinely creative mosaic.

I love the story in Luke 24 of Jesus intersects two pilgrims on the way to Emmaus:

...beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself....When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"

Suddenly, in the process of the journey, their eyes were opened and they received Revelation of the Living Word. The two "on the way" were forever changed in this encounter.

I sometimes wonder about how effective our Western-style, left brain teaching is really impacting others...whether our life methods are "opening eyes" or just adding more information.

I've always been more attracted to the lab rather than the theory. Last week I was at an alternative high school...my favorite environment because this is where Jesus would most likely recruit His disciples. The teacher I was substituting for had posted a sign in the class...and I took a picture of it:

As you can deduct, it is a chart depicting how we learn...really learn. Most of our educational systems are based on a Greek sermon-style or linear, and cognitive style of learning. Our "group attempts " (home church, Bible study, etc) are, at best, 50% effective. But, when we "see...do....teach... we encounter, remember and are changed.

I'm afraid in our culture of text messaging, email, voice mail, media saturation, etc., we have lost the art of true dialogue.....actually conversing and listening to each other. We experienced this when our son Matthew was unable to use the phone or email during the 12 weeks when he was in Marine boot camp. Instead, the few letters we received were wept and prayed over. His letters became treasures.

Our monthly Worship at the River meetings are not "lecture-style" gatherings, but our desire is to encounter Jesus....much like the Emmas road travelers. Join us on the road this March 9th at 6pm in Troutdale. Join us!

We, who are called the "Church" are in transition. We are privileged to live in one of the most pivotal times in history. Never have I felt the need to in greater ways, support and pray for one other during this season. Please let us know how to pray for you. It is Carlene's and my desire to "knit" ourselves together for Kingdom purpose. We are Living Stones, placed together by the Master Builder. I love how the Building is shaping up.

On another note, Carlene and I are looking forward to several important events which, I believe, may set a course for the future for us. I am asking if you would listen and pray for specific events on our upcoming calender:

March 6-7

Worship in partnership with meetings with Plumbline Ministries. This
is our third trip to Vantage WA, this time I am teaching a One Day
Intensive on Saturday for worshippers as well as facilitating worship
and prayer before and after the Plumbline sessions.

March 22-April 5

During this second trip to Korea this year, (it seems as if I just got
home from the last one....wait a minute...I did) I will continue to
build relationships with churches, worship and intercession groups,
and YWAM training.

April 13-14

Meetings with Jim and Faith Chosa I believe First Nation leaders such as Jim and Faith are strategically positioned as Esther, with wisdom for such a time as this.

While in Korea this past month, I spent many hours prayer-walking the streets of Seoul. (you may still experience this as I documented this pictures and sound at http://pacificministries.blogspot.com/) Not only did it serve as my major exercise time, but these hours evolved into a kind of sanctuary experience....where I learned to listen deeply to what the Lord was speaking to me...just for that time and place. It is always difficult to "re-enter" the States. We are so preoccupied with effeciency, yet spend hours in the pursuit of mind-numbing entertainment. "Pray without ceasing"...and "being content in all things" were major themes during this trip, and yet I struggle to practice the same here, in familiar territory.

Bless you.....and see you at the River this Sunday, March 9th at 6pm.

Friends,

Following are photos of "Victoria" of the Hosanna Worship Healing Center. (victoria0675@yahoo.co.kr) She is one of many emerging leaders in Korea who are passionate to build house of prayer and worship. Also pictured is the mountain property on which she wants to build the 24 center....it is within sight of North Korea and you can see the people of NK with binoculars.

Pray the Holy Spirit gives these leaders provision and resources to build these "lighthouses" of God's glory.

If the Lord gives you an encouraging word, feel free to email her.

Graham Cooke Video

This interview with Graham summerizes everything.

Darrell

ps

Question: I heard you recently speak about present-past people. Can you elaborate on that?

Graham's reply:

Two kinds of people exist in God's Kingdom: those who live from their present to their past, and those who live from their present to the future.
Present-past people have to be broken of that outlook by God. All too often, we are tied to an event or issue in the past. Sometimes, it's a wound or a betrayal or a particular sin. The truth is that if we are going to be anyone of stature in the Kingdom of God, we must learn the art of being healed. No one has the right to be wounded, only a right to be healed. Jesus bought that right with His own blood and sacrifice. He literally died so you and I could be free. Our call is to cast off our grave clothes, quit moaning or pretending to be dead, and to live the destiny God has put before us.
Present-past people have to break that backward-looking cycle before they can be accelerated into the fullness of God. If you are tied to your past and receive a word, it is impossible to move directly to the manifestation of that word. God has a process for us to break free from the past, be healed, and then move into our destiny. God will plunge you into a season of confrontation, and the revelation that could take you upwards will in fact drag you down until you and God work through these issues.

Friends of Friends of Friends

I'm often asked what are the values or convictions which are a part of the company of friends we meet. I like one definition of the church the best: simply....friends of friends of friends.

Here is Gary Goodell's list of values...I like them...I identify with them, and thought I'd include it fo your reference.

Our Persuasions

1) We believe that the God of the Bible is wild and free, safe but not tame, unfathomable, uncontainable, and unpredictable, and yet able to be known intimately. 2) We believe that conversion is the consummate God-encounter, and that divine encounters and Holy Spirit sightings are an ongoing part of a person’s spiritual journey. 3) We believe in the full vesting and gifting of God’s people by the Holy Spirit, and that all the gifts of the Spirit are for today and are to be eagerly desired and used by faith. 4) We believe in the priesthood of all believers, and that every believer is called to do the work of the ministry as part of the body of Christ. 5) We believe “that permission has been granted to do church differently in the 21st Century,” and commit to helping believers to "be the church" wherever they go. 6) We believe that radical worship is a lifestyle, and is to be extravagant in its many expressions. 7) We believe that love, servanthood and generosity define all aspects of church life. 8) We believe the central theme of the New Testament, both taught and demonstrated by Jesus, is the message of the Kingdom of God. 9) We believe that the Regional Church is in fact a series or network of smaller Simple Churches that can gather within the given locale for worship and equipping.

Our Practices

1) The simpler the structure, the better.2) When we gather, it should be fun as much as it is important. 3) Our worship gatherings are for God, not for us, or the people we are trying to attract. 4) We endeavor to model a fail-safe environment that gives room for people to make mistakes as they grow in the things of the Spirit. And that the flow of the Spirit often is as messy and unpredictable as it is powerful. 5) We embrace children and youth as part of the believing community, and include them in our gatherings as fellow worshipers and ministers. 6) We believe that the Local Church does not “do” small groups, but that the Local Church “is” a small group where everyone participates.7) We are called to discern the times and seasons, and catch how to minister "in the moment." 8) We understand the "changing of the guard" in this current move of the Spirit, and that true apostolic fathers and mothers are noted by their cry that their sons and daughters will overtake them.9) We recognize that the more we pursue God as a prophetic people; the less our lives will be explainable.

Worship at the River Watchmen at the River

Newsletter of Pacific Ministries’ monthly meetings February, 2008

at Glenn Otto Community Park, Troutdale, Oregon.

Our hearts ache for your moving.

Oh, come and speak Your Word.

Breathe the breath of life into our souls.

We hunger for you, Lord.

A yearning, as deep calls to deep.

Observations of what the Lord has begun in our lives:

a) New newsletter, reviewing in writing, our meetings and God’s movement in our midst.

b) Prayer Centers – A passion for prayer is the primary motive; it teaches how to rest in Christ.

Kansas City

North Korea in 1907

c) God is speeding up transitions and opening up new opportunities and relationships;

similar to Joshua, when he led God’s people into the promised land.

d) We will experience more battles as we reach out in intercessory prayer; usually, we

experience worship first.

e) We need to tune in to the Lord and what He is doing, like the right channel that water flows

through.

f) We will be dealing with those who are not the sheep of the Good Shepherd, similar to

Haman in the life of Esther. They may be outside the church or even inside, claiming to be

Christians, but with the heart and actions like Haman.

g) There is a purifying, similar to a silver anvil or a volcano of fire, with the Lord’s moving.

h) There is a process of building in the Lord, a call to the land; it is waiting to be free, as in

the following:

“The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice,

but by the will of the One who subjected it, in hope that the creation

itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the

glorious freedom of the children of God.” Romans 8:19-21

i) The Holy Spirit is convicting our hearts of offenses against the land; the land groans

because it has been raped and depleted. We may not fully understand, but we need to

ask forgiveness for prostituting the gift of worship.

j) We may be too close to understand fully what this new beginning is about; it is not the

“name it & claim it” false doctrine, but rather a decree with a scriptural basis. We are

Declaring God’s truth and are operating out of our destiny in Christ and walking in

authority, not in presumption.

Transition to a worship that is active and honors God and His creation:

The Lord loves the sound of this place, the sound of our worship.

We just want to tell you we love you,

we love the way you love.

In the place where you are, lift up praise. Soprano and baritone, we glorify His Name.

You are worthy of praise, so worthy.

I will love you with all of my heart.

I will love you with all of my soul.

I will love you with all of my strength,

all of my days.

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord.

You are worthy, worthy.

There is only One Most High.

There is only one Lord Jesus.

Glory to the Righteous One.

People will choose which door; Jesus will separate. He will honor and bless those who choose to follow Him.

We are on our knees in repentance.

Here is my heart; cleanse my heart today.

Outside of you, there is no light.

We surrender, we surrender. (echoes fill the air)

Prophetic Words spoken:

1) As His people come before Him, pure in heart,

His living water will come gushing forth – we’re right there!

2) The Lord brings the fire of the Holy Spirit – protects us from anything that is not of the

Lord, refining our lives.

How we love your fire!

How we love your flame!

Come inside my heart.

Burn in me again.

Burn away all the dross.

Count it all but loss.

Burn it all away. (three times)

Until we see your face.

May we be like snow.

Purify as a goldsmith refines gold.

May the Father see the pure in heart,

and never let us go.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and parish.”

Isaiah 41:10,11

Pure gold pours down, reflecting Christ, seeking lowly places, as in the following:

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:10

Surrender, servant’s heart.

Give it all to Him, cheerful giver.

You will be my satisfaction, Oh Lord.

Jesus is with me in the garden, not my will – Your will be done.

I glue myself to you – my body, soul, spirit,

That I may be with you,

Move with you.

I seek you first, Lord.

I have a greater thirst for Your Word.

I lay aside everything that would hinder my being with you,

Less of me and more of you,

That is what I say,

Jesus, every day.

I will rest; I will wait; I will abide,

for as long as it takes, for you to produce a fruit in me.

Abide, abide, I will abide in the vine.

Prophetic words:

1) A white horse with a bit in his mouth, the Lord is pulling him out of danger.

2) God is raising us up to a higher level, to see spiritual things He is seeing.

Communion

A new union with You, Lord.

A common union with you, Lord.

Jesus’ blood washes us as white as snow.

We celebrate this day.

There’s healing in the blood.

We partake in the bread of life.

We abide in you.

Prophetic themes:

1) This place in time, the Holy Spirit flows in tenderness.

2) Farther and farther into the river, in canoes, into the Father.

3) He is making it possible for Him to be our One and Only.

4) It is the love of God that compels us.

5) We are the reflection of Jesus in us.

6) Blessing over the gatekeepers of the land; angels ‘round about us.

Jesus wore a crown of thorns; we have a helmet of salvation.

He is pouring Living Waters on our hearts; we are pure in heart.

REMINDER...No Worship at the River gathering this Sunday

Pacificministries Friends,

Last Thursday evening we gathered for our February Worship at the River meeting. There was a wonderful sense of God's presence, and you may read a synopsis on our blog at (http://pacificministries.blogspot.com) within a few days.

Normally we meet the second Sunday of each month, but we are in Seattle at a conference Ray Hughes (you can watch over the net at (http://www.rcftv.net) and then Sunday and Monday evening with Jim Watt, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the 1948 North Battlefield outpouring.

Please remember to pray as I (Darrell) will be partnering with Pastor David Park in several cities in Korea February 15-29)....teaching and ministering on Worship and intimacy.

Many of you know Karen Kolzow. She wrote an absolutely "spot on" word which I've posted on our blot site as well.

Worship at the River Watchmen at the River

Newsletter of Pacific Ministries’ monthly meetings

at Glenn Otto Community Park, Troutdale, Oregon.

Scribe – Freda Emmons January, 2008

We are seekers, Lord.

It is more important to be with you, Lord,

than to hear from You.

We are hungry for you, Lord.

Thank you for leading us to a full knowledge of Jesus.

7 years of Worship at the River, although at first in another location.

This year is one of transition; we are entrusting our steps to the Lord God.

This year is the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end.

8 signifies a new beginning; 2008 is a year for separating ourselves for a holy purpose.

We seek Your Presence in every endeavor.

Unless you are with us, Lord, we do not really want to do it.

Humbled by Your Word and Your Majesty,

we seek Your Glory!

“Joshua told the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.’ ”

Joshua 3:5

We followed the prophetic act of Joshua, as he led God’s chosen people around the city of Jericho; in silence they marched 7 times and then at the sound of the trumpet, proclaimed victory in God. We marched in silent prayer, and watched in awe the walls that came down as we shouted our victory in Christ Jesus, or Lord and Savior. (Personal walls the Spirit spoke to my heart were walls of sorrow, of loss and of poverty – all busted in the power of His might.) Victory is ours in Christ, for the taking of territory, just as it was for Joshua and the people of God.

Each one of us carries an anointing of the Lord, for His work in us and through us.

Change / Transition - in our government, the election process.

- in this place

- in families

We acknowledge Your Presence as we experience change.

We receive the wind of the Holy Spirit

And trust in your Power to move from the west, even here in the Northwest

To pave the way and develop the platform for Your purpose.

We are a part of the Remnant and the Army of this region.

We are transitioning to be Watchmen at the River.

Our Lord is providing Restoration of the Land, to the purposes He has ordained.

From the civic governing body to the will of His Spirit, we commend this land to Him.

This place at the River is sacred land; we honor it.

We join in unity of the Holy Spirit, in peace, gentleness, humbleness, and in the truth of Him who is our Creator – to be

The Watchmen at the River.

We hold the authority of God over this place;

we have prayed over its gates and anointed them with oil.

In the realm of spiritual authority, we have renamed this place to be

The Land of My Spirit.

Prophetic Words over this re-dedicated and consecrated Land of My Spirit and the work of God through His people here:

1. “Praise be to the Name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes time and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.” Daniel 2:20-22

2. The Tent of Meeting, the season and appointed time

3. A Place called Beautiful - the right time

- the right place

4. Bring your children here - a place to bless children

5. “Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring - those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” Revelation 12:17

6. Now has come the authority of Christ!

7. “Then the Lord said to Joshua, ‘Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.’ ” Joshua 5:9

8. Whatever our need, God has removed the attacks from Satan and wants to provide generous blessings.

9. God will renew His Spirit in those who are His. Spiritual and physical digestions are similar. The prophetic must be digested. It is refreshing to our spirit.

10. We are a company. God will accompany each of us, releasing funds for all of us.

Friends,

Just a reminder we are meeting this month on Thursday, Feb. 7th at 7pm at our normal meeting place at the Glenn Otto Park in Troutdale. We are changing ONLY THIS MONTH...and will resume our second Sunday meeting on March 9th.

We are adjusting our schedule because of a series of meetings and events in Seattle (see below)

Carlene and I returned from a week of meetings in Los Angeles with Graham Cooke and Gary Goodell, I spoke at a Korean Church, and spent a wonderful afternoon with our son Matthew during his Sunday liberty day. He is facing a final test of his training this Wednesday....a 15K mountain hike. Thanks for praying for him.

Looking forward to seeing you on this Thursday at 7pm.

Darrell and Carlene

Anniversary of the Later Rain Revival this weekend at St. Luke's.

After Bible School students and faculty sought the Lord for some months, the Holy Spirit poured out in North Battleford, Saskatchewan (Canada) on February 11th, 1948. This move of the Holy Spirit brought a joy and warmth to worship and restored ancient New Testament practices with new power – The Presbytery, Five-Fold Ministry, etc. This movement's influence is still evident in several streams of the Pentecostal/Charismatic Movements.

Although several aberrations became evident in the Latter Rain early into the outpouring, the positive legacy of this work of the Holy Spirit continues to bless the Church.

St. Luke's will be hosting Jim and Marie Watt for two evenings of sharing –

Sunday February 10th (7 PM) – followed by a 24-hour Prayer Vigil

Monday February 11th (7 PM) – the actual anniversary date!

Jim Watt is the last surviving member of the original seven elders from the 1948 summer camp meetings. He and Marie bring a wealth of experience and wisdom in the Holy Spirit.

Each evening will feature worship, led by Darrell and Carlene Dahlman followed by the Watts sharing in an interview format.

Themes –

Sunday Night – Joyful and Intimate Worship, plus the Angelic Choir

Monday Night – Five-Fold Ministry and the Prophetic Presbytery

Please plan to join us. Kindly share this information with family and friends! God Bless! -John+
