What you see in this picture represents nearly everything the Lord has done the past 10 years. Timothy and Rachel (far right 2nd and 3rd row) were young students when we first came to Korea in 2002. We would to gather in our apartment and Carlene would make her best Italian spaghetti with garlic smells that permeated the school. These young students would gather in a circle eat spaghetti (break from kimchee) and we would talk about listening to God...and we laughed a lot. We spoke words of encouragement and blessing over them. It has been 8 years since we have seen many of them and they all gathered together for a reunion last Saturday afternoon. Some of these students wrote out their  prophetic promises, put them in beautiful frames and hung them on the wall!
That is why you see such a big smile on my face. This is one of my all-time favorite pictures because of the promise Carlene and I would be part of the training of this youth worship army in these last days.
It has been my privilege to encourage and strengthen thousands of believers in Korea and these students have passionately pursued Jesus and all he has for them
Thank you for praying and sharing with me and this joy!
I am finishing this tour with a 2 day  "Listening to God" seminar and returning to Portland Thursday...YEA!

(some missed the pics from last Mokpo email..see below)

Just finished 4 days in Mokpo, a city on the southwest coast of Korea and  centuries-old key origin of Korean song, dance, literature and art. The city is marked by what is called the Mokpo Song which celebrates despair, hopelessness, and pain.  Indeed, I toured several local museums depicting decades of Japanese occupation. Even their official dance costume and crown are black. (see below) But I believe this is all good news; because where there once was a people walking in darkness....a Light has come.

My sense is that people here have a prophetic destiny and promise as a resource center where there worship of all forms flourish.  Pastor Lee and his wife have a wonderful vision of 24 hour prayer and a conviction this city is a worship and art offering to the Lord.  I AGREE!
