Pacificministries Final Mongolia

Friends.....

It is so difficult for Paul and I to summarize the significance and Spirit-led connections with leaders who "have their hand on the tiller" of the Mongolian Church. We met with 4 marvelously diverse expressions of the Body. They include:

40 member group with a passion to feed 600 poor and homeless every week (we contributed expenses for next week),
14 intercessors who have traveled on a spiritual assignmanet to 12 key spiritual gates throughout the borders of this country,
a more "traditional" church of 300 where we were blessed to pray and meet with 40 leaders, their prayer group, and worship teams,
and an inovative "organic" movement with a distinctive Mongolian "klan" (small group) approach with members meeting regularly during the week with Sunday celebrations.
Everywhere we went we we enthusiastically welcomed....and these believers, well...they take very seriously every word we spoke. We were struck with their passion and love for Jesus.

I have included a 10 minute audio clip (just click to start download) of an original Monoligan worship song celebrating Jesus including a final word from Paul and I at Immanuel Assembly of 300 believers last Sunday morning. Listen to their passion and love for the King. Although you may not understand the language, you WILL catch their heart. It was an honor to serve them...and thank you for praying.

Pacificministries Mongolian #4

Friends,

Sorry about pics not coming through. Listen to sounds and worship of Mongolia!  (listen to our street sounds, agree with us in a prayer....and 3 min. audio of worship.
We thank you for praying....a note from Paul...

Hello everyone,  we have 3 days left here.  It is Friday morning.  I love it here but also miss my family.  We have been meeting may different people and we have had long days praying for and with people for Mongolia.  Yesterday we meet with Amra a leader  in the country churches.  We meet with him last time we were here also.  It is good to see the shift that has happened in his life.  There is so much I would love to share with you about our time together.  God is leading these leaders here and they are hearing wisdom from heaven for a transformation for the country.  Mongolia is finding its way to maturity and God has many like Amra who carry the nation in their heart.

God has been blessing me with an upgrade in hearing his voice for leaders.  (I love being here and being stretched by God.  I learn so much).  Both Darrell and I had words for Amra.  We both feel that Godhas brought us here to build come along side of these leaders and become brothers to walk together to fulfill kingdom purposes on the earth.

After that we meet with the church we did the conference with last time we were here.  It was a meeting like our home church (The feast).  You would have loved it everyone.  We felt we were just to hang out and encourage them.  We worshipped (Darrell will send you a clip) and prayed for them.  God shared with me this morning that what we all want is to have someone look in our eyes and just say I love like I do to Fanny.   That is all we really want is for someone to love us deeply.  We shared our love with one another and then after we had a feast.  We were all in this small building.  The church is beside this building but has no electricity and is not heated so we all gathered in this small room.  We ate together and exchanged gift with us.  We were both given slippers (this is the 2nd time this has happened) and I feel this is very significant.  I felt this trip was to solidify something between us.  Yesterday and today we received gifts from the people.  This has been very significant for us.  I love being here everyone.  My heart is totally connected.  Thanks for praying.   God has called us here to the ends of the earth to walk alongside the Mongolian church and see them and us come to maturity for the kingdom's sake.

After these meeting we meet with the national intercessors for the country.  The lady who did worship during our first visit with the Victoria team was here also.  (the one who had the whistle).  I felt lead to bring an olympic scarf from canada to give to them as a sign for them.  One of the scriptures for Mongolia is ISaiah 60.  Arise and shine.  We have declared and prayed that over Canada for so long and now we are seeing Canada ARise and Shine.  We encouraged them to continue to sow in prayer.  God would raise up a harvest for the nation and Mongolia will arise  and shine.

We were both exhaused after this.  It was a long day.  Today will be similar with many meetings.  I am very thankful to be here.   God downloads so much to me.  The Mongolian journey is a very encouaging model for me.   They are only 19 years old as a church and God is leading them on a path to maturity.  I feel they will teach us in the west.  They are a total warrrior people.  The women are some of the strongest as a nation I have ever seen.  They are beautiful.  They have such a history of royal lineage that communism could not destroy them (70 years of Russian influence-even under STalin).  God has perserved within them a DnA that is rising up at this time on the earth.  Everyone is very friendly and it is an amazing place to be.

Finally it has been great being with Darrell again.  God has connected us together for this.  Two are better than and and being together is very encouraging for me.  Darrell continues to push me out of my confort zone and it is profound to see how God is meeting me.  God has been releasing much prophectic stuff and I was reminded of Joyce's word of a prophetic mantle for me.  I say yes to God for all He has for me.  Thank you for my many friends who are committed to helping me come to maturity also.  I love you all.

We do walk together together as brothers and sisters and we need each other to fulfill God's purposes on earth.  May God's purposes be fulfilled for Mongolia.
Paul

Friends:

Friends:

Pictures are from the streets, leaders in the Mongolian church, a wonderful painting, a MASSIVE city market (10 below zero and people are shopping for jeans)....and a very cold Paul and Darrell at an ancient Buddhist Temple.

I want Paul to share his heart:

Hello everyone from Mongolia. We are having an amazing time again this time. God has been amazing to us and He is faithfully speaking to the Mongolia church. I wanted to say many many thanks to all those who are praying for us. This truly is a kingdom adventure and you are apart of it.

Today was breakthrough day for us. There was a noticeable shift in our time here. In the morning Darrell and I prophesied over some of the church people. The thing that amazed me was the themes God showed us. We prayed for women and the anointing that God has preserved upon this people. We also prayed for a family line with 3 generations represented. After our prayer 2 ladies (a mother and a daughter) felt they were to give us a gift. It was very profound and both Darrell and I felt there was a real receiving of what God has released. It was also profound to receive a gift from the Mongolians. We are very blessed to be here and represent God to these precious believers. This is a divine kingdom moment for Mongolia. Mongolia is very important for God's purposes on earth.

I wish you all could be here and experience what I have experienced. This is a warrior nation preparing for the return of the King. This is much contending but I am amazed at the people God has raised up in such a short time (the church is only 19 years old). There are warriors here who are trained by God and teach me much every time I am here. They are an inspiration to us.

Below is a audio clip for one of our friends here. She has such a heart for God and this nation. There is such a connection with here and many like her in this nation.

I have many faithful friends who are praying in Canada and I thank you for the prayers from the United States. It is a blessing to be here with Darrell again. Two are better than one and there has been a great increase as we have minister together. We can feel your prayers. This is a kingdom assignment. We are here on invitation of the king. This nation will come together and fulfill God's plan for them. The people are wonderful, loving and very beautiful.. Many thanks,

Paul

(and Darrell)

Will post another podcast tonight....we want you to hear the Mongolian believers worship!

Pacificminstries Korea/Mongolia #2

I want to share 2 wonderful stories:

Saturday evening, Pastor David Park and I met 4 individuals... a interior decorator, an architect, a young entrepreneur, and a restaurant owner.  Each one of them have a passion for North Korea.  We shared traditional Korean oxtail soup, five-year old aged kimchi, soft shell crab soaked in soy sauce, hot pepper tofu kimchi soup, bamboo rice, barbecued beef and mushroom (sounds good?)  We prayed for each one and God was faithful to reveal strategy that had been planted in their hearts for North Korea.  Each one of these assignments reflected their inner giftedness and passion.  This may not seem amazing, but I believe it typifies a shift in our belief system.  Many in Asian countries believe that if you are called to Ministry, you must go to seminary or be trained and officially sanctioned as a lay pastor.  God is breaking that the mindset, and is giving us permission to dream again! Often when I speak in Korean churches I reminded them of who they are... their identity as carriers of the fire of God, especially to nations.  While I cannot be specific with regard to the details of each of their assignment, all of them are seeing fruit from their God-given endeavors.  What we did in praying for them, is simply confirm and encourage the dream God had already spoken to them.  Yay God!

The second story unfolded Sunday afternoon.    As I finished speaking, I felt as if the Lord wanted to bring an encouraging prophetic word to someone in the congregation that had never received such a word before.  And I wanted to invite three other leaders besides myself to participate in what I call a prophetic laboratory.  We called forward a woman who had never received a word, and I asked her permission to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for specific encouragement.  In essence this is what I spoke over her:

"Since you were a little girl, there has been a deep desire to know God.  This is the day where you will encounter him any new way... that you would know the mysteries of his heart and his will for you... this will be the beginning of a deeper relationship with Father God."

After the service I met with her and the friend who brought her to the meeting.  She said, "When my friend invited me... I did not want to go but I felt something compelling me to come.  I am completely stunned.  I never expected this.  Thank you, thank you, thank you."

Here is the best part: this woman came to the meeting as an unbeliever.  She was not a Christian.  But as our prophetic team spoke to what was inside of her... what the Holy Spirit had planted in her from the beginning of time... that she was a child of God capable of knowing him... it became testimony that God was real.  That was too cool!  Some people call this prophetic evangelism... I call it normative Christianity.

Tonight I leave for Mongolia, where I will join my friend Paul Vermes who has been there for several days and together we will meet and encourage the believers there.  Mostly, we will worship and ask the Holy Spirit for His agenda.

Sometimes I am asked if there is a temptation to take a  paid church position... and to be honest, sometimes there is.  But when I experience the relational life of kingdom leaders who are actively pursuing their dream, and I get to be a part of encouraging the dream, there is no question... I love my assignment.

We bless you and thank you for continuing to support and pray.

Darrell

Pacificministries Korea/Mongolia #1

Pacificministries Korea/Mongolia  #1

After a 16 hour flight from Portland, including a three-hour layover in beautiful Vancouver British Columbia, I arrived safe and sound in this, my 34th trip to Asia.

I am here for a three-day conference in Kyung Ju, an ancient city in southeastern Korea revered by Koreans as a city of Kings and Queens.  There are massive 50 foot high ancient mounds throughout the city marking the burial grounds of Korean royalty.    The Koreans have restored the historical sites of the palaces, ponds, and gardens famous for their beauty.  This city is known as the "End of the Silk Road" a destination point for centuries of trade and travel through Korea, China, Mongolia, India, and the Middle East.  This road is also recognized as a symbolic journey for many Asian Christians who have a passion to take the gospel to Muslim nations.  Some know this as the "Back to Jerusalem" movement.  I am intrigued I find myself at the eastern end of the Silk Road with travel to Mongolia next week and India next month.  I am grateful for air rather than camel travel any day.

This is a beautiful, quiet, mountainous resort town, and many families with children visit all year round.  They are famous for hot air balloons, and many Korean men follow a tradition and propose to their hopeful brides during a balloon trip.  They even cater a full dinner in the balloon.  Yesterday morning, a beautiful dusting of late spring snow covered the city, the first snow in the month of March in 30 years.  I am sitting in my hotel room with a cup of the new Starbucks instant coffee Carlene bought me before I left.  Sounds like an oxymoron... Starbucks and instant coffee... but surprisingly, it's actually not bad!

I have been privileged to share and pray for a congregation of believers who are passionate for the presence of God.  They want to establish a 24-hour prayer house, and there are many young people who God is shaping and sharpening like spiritual arrows.  Pastor Kim has a passion for other leaders in this city and I have met several during this visit who desire true spiritual unity.  I am reminded of Psalm 133 where there is commanded blessing when brothers dwell together as one body.

This morning, I am asking for prayer as Pastor Kim has arranged for a private meeting at 11 a.m. Friday, March 19 (7 p.m. Thursday March 18 Pacific Time) with the mayoral candidate in the coming election in Kyung Ju.  During last December's visit to Japan, I was privileged to pray for the youngest member of the Council of Japan, the US equivalent of the Senate.  I do not seek out these meetings, but they happen naturally... I call them God arranged moments.

Saturday I take the express bus back to Seoul and will spend some time with Mongolian leaders and share at David Park's church on Sunday before leaving Monday Mongolia.

Thank you for praying!

Darrell

More Mongolian Scriptures

Mongolia, March 15, 2010 11:17pm

Isaiah 41-42

41:2…Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service” He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them into dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. 3.. He pursues them and moves on unscathed, by a path his feet have not traveled before. 4.. Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth generations from the beginning? I, the Lord- with the first of them and with the last –I am he..

42:25… I have stirred up one from the north and he comes- one from the rising sun who calls on my name. He treads on rulers as if they were mortar, as if he were a potter treading the clay”

The Lord has stirred up one from the east (Mongolia) and one from the north (North America) as his servants to do his bidding. Both are warriors, both subdue nations and kings are at their command. Unscathed means to not injured or harmed, whole, so the Lord would have you (Paul and Darrell and Mongolia) to pursue the nations, keep on moving you are not harmed and you are whole, nothing will touch you, you are walking on a path that has not been traveled before here on earth, but the Lord has already spoken it and written it in the spirit and in the heavenlies this journey, he already has it mapped out, you just need to walk it out and keep on moving, take the land and the territories.

41:5…the islands have seen it and fear ; the ends of the earth temble. They approach and come forward each helps the other and says to his brother “be strong!” the craftsman encourages the goldsmith, and he who smooths with the hammer spurs on him who strikes the anvil. He says of the welding, “it is good.” He nails down the idol so it will not topple.

I may be taking this out of context but here is a message of walking together as brother and in team, the idol ( spirit of religion etc) will be nailed down or struck at and fall…

41:9… but to you o Israel ( Paul, Darrell, mongolia) my servant, whom I have chosen you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth from its farthest corners I called you. I said you are my servant I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you do not be dismayed for I am your God) I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. “…42:1.. Here is my servant ( Paul, Darrell, Mongolia), whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight: I will pour out my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations, he will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice, he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth ….. it goes on and on…. I the Lord have called you in righteousness, I will take hold of your hand, I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the gentiles, to open the eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison, and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols. See the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.”

Worship at the River March 2010

Mongolia Prayer Points

Here are some thoughts and stirrings we have heard and received in preparation for this trip.  As you’ve heard me tell my thoughts before about Joel 2-3 and Isaiah 60, 61, 62.  Seems like all of this has a connection as to what the Lord is saying for this time. Stay focused and know that you have everything it takes to complete the assignment this time.  Many doors will be opened, walk in favor and confidence for you are made for such a time as this….
Joel 2
Vs 6-11…. They charge like warriors, scale walls like soldiers, they march in line not swerving from their course, they don’t jostle each other each marches straight they plunge through defenses without breaking rank… the Lord thunders at the head of his army his forces are beyond number and mighty are those who obey his command!
Vs 12 …REND YOUR HEART even now declares the Lord return to me with your heart with fasting and weeping and mourning rend your heart and not your garments return to the Lord for he is gracious and compassionate., slow to anger and abounding in love…
Vs 15-17… blow the trumpet in zion ( the sound) declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly, gather the people consecrate the assembly bring together the elders, the children….Let the priests who minister before the Lord weep between porch and altar
Vs 18 …then the Lord will be jealous for the Land
Vs 19, 23-27  the lord will send you new grain, wine and oil, ataum and sping rains, your threshing floors will be filled with grain, the vats will overflow with new wine and oil
Ch3 vs 9… proclaim this amoung the nations prepare for war, rouse the warriors
Last  time we went with Isaiah60 “ arise shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you…”this time fells like and echoeing of the same but with the emphasis on vs15-22…. I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations….I will make peace  your governor and righteousness your ruler, no longer will violence be heard in your land nor ruin or destruction within your borders but you will call your walls salvation and your gates praise…for the Lord will be your everlasting light and your God will be your glory… then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever The least of you will become a thousand the smallest a mighty nation  I am the Lord in its time I will do this swiftly…this reminds me of the verse that talks about one can send a thousand to flight and two can send a legion fleeing… I believe that this time we will tap into the the calling forth of the warriors to be roused to hear the sound that is over and in the Land, that the Lord would release the sound that have been there from centuries of old and now the people will capture the heartbeat of the heavenly and kingly sound. The warrior’s song, the warriors cry, calling forth the army that is mighty ones that would obey the Kings command and the Lord will do this swiftly.  I believe there is an acceleration in this all of this in the coming together the raising up the training up of the army of Lord, might are his forces, the army will engage in warfare from the place of love and of praise.  High praise is to rise up and be heard and the fathers heart is captured, people will be so moved by it that they can only become militant in position but postured in love.  Let the warriors be roused, joel 2 also talks about bring the nations to the valley of jehosphat, which means the valley of jeudgement, again I do feel that this is significant as they are marked for the end time purposes and plans of God…
Isaiah 62,  the Lord himself will not keep silent because it’s Mongolia’s time it’s Mongolia’s time.. for jerusalem’s sake I will not keep silent ( returning to Jerusalem end time prophecies..).. till her righteousness shines out like the dawn ( arise shine..)…  I believe that the verses 2-4, 12 is to be declared and spoken/sung/ danced over the Land/ people.   The Lord has a new name for his people…( thoughts go back to what kwok ying had as with moira with the name of the dhali lama meaning ocean and Mongolia use to be an ocean before land…anyways that’s for another time again)
VICTORIA HAS THE SAME OR CLOSE RESMBLANCE IN DNA TO MONGOLIA….kingly, royalty authority able to take land etc..
The Lord doesn’t need numbers, he need a few mighty men and women who would hear him and obey, we need the critical mass the remnants that would stand in that place to shift the whole nation.  A critical mass that would hear the sound of heaven, the praise the warriors that would cry out and lead and fight in a posture of love and humility honoring the king.  One for all and all for one for the king… lets the gates of praise be stormed,  that they will build a highway, stones will be removed, hearts of stone will become flesh,  they to raise a banner for the nations  the banner of Love praise covenant love, unity… there’s such a specific thing in my spirit about knowing who they are as a people and to step into it fully and confidently as they are the much loved bride of Christ.    There’s so much but I know the Lord is taking them and us on a journey of intimacy, joy and love so much so that that is our battle cry, that is the song and the orders to be sung to one another and in it the mighty army, the forces of heaven here on earth cannot be stopped by anything or man or principality…. I’m just stirred in my spirit even just writing this stuff… so know this as you go you are the ring bearers that would present to these kings/ generals the key in which they have the authority and rightful bloodline so to speak, in royalty to unlock and open these gates, these gates of praise, that they can cause nations to pass through to pass through… the Lord will show you who these kings and queens are and there are things to be shared with only a few and not the whole corporate.. may the Lord give you much wisdom to know what it is to share, or even to just be and to whom.   So will be praying on this end, believe that you are part of this critical mass…

Pacificministries Supporters

This is Bill Petersen writing. I am sending this as an open letter to Pacificministries supporters to request prayer covering for Darrell as he leaves for Mongolia today.

This open letter was prompted by the Passover theme that the Lord revealed at Worship at the River yesterday. Remember that during the week prior to the last Passover that Jesus shared with his disciples, he was teaching to the chief priests, the scribes and Pharisees i.e., the spiritual heavyweights of Israel (Mt 21.33-46; Mk 12.1b-12; Lk 21.9-19). He was speaking in parables to them but they knew that he was speaking about them.

The kingdom of darkness knows that we, supporters of PM, are speaking into their realm so let’s cover Darrell as well as ourselves (Eph 6.14-20) as we go with him in the spirit to Mongolia . We can cover him by sending scriptures to him at the above email address as well as sharing with him relevant dreams, impressions, words of encouragement, words of knowledge and declarations that we receive from Holy Spirit.

As you pray for him, if you are not sure what you sense would “fit”, don’t err on the side of caution. If it is not relevant to his situation, Holy Spirit will reveal that to Darrell. We need to put stones in his sling, arrows in his bow and give him access to swords from which he can draw.

Let’s confront the rulers of this evil age just as Moses did. Declare to your enemy, “Release me, the Mongolians, as well as those among us who are in bondage and captivity, physically and emotionally, and let them go that they might feast and serve the God of Israel. (Ex 5.1; 7.16) We will plunder you and take your gold, silver and clothing from you even as you stand by and watch us do it because the Lord has given us favor.” (Ex 12.33-36)

Unlike this message, remember to keep your messages to Darrell short since he will probably be receiving them on his phone when he can get to a wi-fi area.

Lord, release the spirit of wisdom and revelation over Darrell and us so that we may pray in agreement with Holy Spirit. For those who have ears let them hear.

Rev 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly."

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! NKJV.

Pacificministries Friends,

Pacificministries Friends,

We look forward to Worship at the River this Sunday evening, March 14 at 6 PM at our usual location in the Sam Cox Building in Troutdale.  The last several gatherings have been marked with creativity, freedom, and grace. We expect the same this Sunday.

The next few months will be filled with travel to Korea, Mongolia, and India.  I'll be sending regular e-mail updates, but I wanted Carlene to share a special "God moment":

Just after Christmas word came from Minn-e-snow-ta (Minnesota) that our daughter-in-law was planning a business trip to Beaverton with Nate and Calvin, our grandson, tagging along.  This kind of news always puts a spring in my steps and a sparkle in grandpa's eyes.  My only concern was where would everyone sleep in our tiny condo?  Just days before my "pre-company-blues" was scheduled to hit with "how is this going to work?" ...God reminded me that Petersen's were heading for Hawaii.  This coming weekend I will visit Delight and Bill in their home as I have many times before, but this time I will experience sweet memories of Calvin running endlessly around their hallway/living room corridor only stopping to use his new sign language skills to say: "you-me-wrestle!" Often we ended up in a heap of tangled arms and legs. We will always treasure the memories of 13 Dahlman/DeLeo family members dinning around a large table enjoying Danielle's lasagna. Delight's kitchen got a good cleaning after Danielle and Calvin made cookies while others sat in the living room playing games and watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics. (many thanks Bill and Delight for the use of your "grandchildren are welcome here" home)  Eliza Miller told me after we sold the "big" house that God would be faithful to my needs/wants.  I understand why people doubt God, but for heaven's sake why would anyone doubt what Eliza says??  You were right Eliza.  God was and is faithful to fulfill our heart's desires.

An Invitation to Pray and Give

An Invitation to Pray and Give

Over the past four years Carlene and I have been privileged to meet church planters and leaders from India.  (Pictured is Pastor Saumuel Chacko in his first visit to USA in Seattle this Janurary)  These men and women of God have several things in common:

They Are Wonder Workers... most are serving in very difficult circumstances but with power and authority to heal the sick and raise the dead.  Many have built schools and orphanages, while carrying for the poor, and training up and releasing the next generation of leaders.

They Are Humble... I have yet to meet a significant leader who does not exhibit a spirit of humble gratefulness in what God is doing.  They serve in obscurity.

All have urged us to come and minister to them and their leaders.

As you might imagine, when I hear their stories of radical faith and tens of thousands baptized, I am tempted to reply... "No, you must teach and impart what you have learned to us, the western church."

Yet, we sense this is the time for a trip to India.  This April 3-21, Pacificministries is joining with Kingdom Wings, led by Linda Baker-Kaahanui (Rolland and Heidi Baker's sister) from Port Townsend.  Linda has ministered to women in India for the past several years and I've been invited to speak to the men in two conferences in the northeastern city of Selagari as well as with Rodrick Gilbert in Dehli.

Each one of these Kingdom Warrior/Servants have prayed for and witnessed the dead raised to life! (with documentation)

I am specifically asking you to pray and give.

Pray:
Grace and wisdom in preparing for Ministry and teaching materials.
Health and travel safety for the team.
Give:

We need to raise nearly $20,000 as we sponsor travel, meals, translation, and all other expenses for each attendee.  Many are traveling many miles and have very limited resources.  We want to give generously.

This is an ambitious project, but I am unashamedly asking you to financially invest in this mission trip and project.

You can do this in two ways:

  • Use our Pacificministries Paypal account for a secure tax deductible gift (it is not necessary to have a Paypal account to give)

  • Send a check to Pacificministries  P.O. Box 1401  Port Townsend, WA 98368

We bless you and will keep you updated,
